How compensation can ease the burden of grief.

Episode 4 of the BBC series Northern Justice which debuted on Friday September 23rd, followed the emotional story of our client Catherine, who lost her husband following a tragic accident at work.

Our team were determined to do all they could for Catherine and her three young girls as they tried to come to terms with the sudden loss of a much-loved husband and dad. We worked tirelessly to secure compensation for Catherine who tragically lost her husband in an accident at work. Another law firm turned her away but Atha & Co took on the case and won. This meant that in her hour of need, the one thing she didn’t have to worry about was money.

Securing as much compensation as possible in situations like this is very important for us, as taking away financial worry means one less thing for a grieving family to worry about.

The 10-part series was made to better inform the public of the variety of legal services available to them when they face extraordinary times in their lives, and episode 4 featured our very own Charles Atha.

Charles allowed cameras to peek into his busy day as a personal injury solicitor specialising in workplace accidents.

We were so pleased to have been able to tell Catherine’s story as an example of the work that as personal injury solicitors we undertake to secure the necessary compensation for our clients when they have suffered as a result of an accident that wasn’t their fault. In this case, it was the tragic loss of her husband as the result of an accident at work. We were happy to help facilitate financial security for her and her daughters.

In this clip, Catherine describes the sad day she lost her husband.
